Livin' it up. Sort of.
Once Clair is gone Grey wastes no time finding his feet. The going is painfully slow but eventually he figures out how to walk. He makes his way slooowly to the bathroom.

Grey manages to brush his teeth, shower, change his clothes, and change the gauze pad on his arm. And it only takes him a few hours! But by the end... he's noticing that things are getting easier. That he can feel again. Just a little. Pressure here... a pin-prick of pain there (ribs, agh, he's been moving too erratically).

He's noticed that there is a pen and a journal on the desk... but he highly doubts he'll be able to manage writing quite yet. Not easily anyway. Instead he finds an easy snack in the kitchenette and then... well why not? He checks the door. And is rather surprised to find it open.

He stands there for a moment. Why would it be open? Was it purposeful? A slip of the mind? Was she toying with him....?

....He quietly slips out.

Current Mood: Cautious.

asdfjweawfw2aQ@$! It doesn't take Grey long to figure out what's knocked him over (he's a scientist, you know.) Wonderful. A dog of all things. At least it's friendly. But it's making a damn racket.

Grey attempts to fend the slobbering beast off with the only arm he has. But this is a big dog. A very big dog. And it seems quite determined to lick him to death.

YAY! He wants to play! Big slobbery jaws latch onto his sleeve. RRRRRRRshakeshake! RRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Doggy claws find purchase on his clothing. Oh, boy! More tail-thrashing occurs.
Dr. Grey: Looking off.grey_matter on September 11th, 2007 05:36 am (UTC)
"Get off of me you mangy mutt...!" He whisper-hisses at the animal. Grey attempts to shove the dog off of himself enough so that he can get back onto his feet. Something easier said than done seeing as the animal is a hundred pounds and currently biting and shaking his sleeve.

This results in more barkage. Awh, but she only wanted to plaaaaaaay...

"Nova!" a voice shouts. "Get out of there! You're not allowed in the lab. Out!"

The dog immediately turns and bounds off of Grey and out of sight, but he's got more problems, as Otto is now standing over him. "More to the point, neither are you."

....Griiin? :D? "Hello! Mr...?" He starts cheerful but... trails off. Er. Hm. Well, he has the arms like Octavius but... he looks nothing like him. Grey starts to make his way to his feet. He's covered in dog hair now, ugh.

So far the only resemblance, really, is the arms. And something about the stare, and possibly the voice. This is a round fellow with long black hair and shades. As far as alternates go, appearances clearly vary.

"Doctor. Doctor Octavius. We have met, or don't you remember? At any rate, feeble-mindedness isn't much of a ruse. Clair's a better neurologist than that."
Dr. Grey: O RLY?grey_matter on September 11th, 2007 07:07 am (UTC)
"Oh, I remember you." Grey is busy disgustedly brushing dog hair off of himself now. He finally glances up again with an almost manic grin. "Just didn't catch your name." He throws his arm out with almost startling abruptness. "Dr. Grey." He introduces himself. Will you shake his hand Dr. Octavius?

Octavius regards it with a quirked eyebrow. "Certainly more personable than last time. I take it she either hasn't dosed you with anything since, or has started you on something completely different."
Dr. Grey: Art Grey.grey_matter on September 11th, 2007 07:26 am (UTC)
Grey draws the arm back in when it's clear Octavius isn't keen on shaking his hand. "Neither, actually." He frowns and looks thoughtful a moment. Unless she plans to regularly dose him with that numbing stuff, but it seemed to be more of an intimidation tactic than anything else.

Grey puts his arm behind his back out of habit, having no second arm to hook hands with now, and rocks a little on his feet. "I'd imagine it slipped her mind to lock the door to my room." He smirks a little.

Otto's very much not impressed.

"Hmh. Possibly. I might have to have a word with Clair about just how she keeps track of her subjects."

He idly picks up the things Nova knocked over. THIS is why a 100-pound Australian Shepherd barely out of puppyhood isn't allowed in the lab, in case you were wondering.
Dr. Grey: Scalpel.grey_matter on September 13th, 2007 04:59 am (UTC)
Grey snickers. "You might."

"Quite some interesting things in here." He gestures idly. He's making conversation you see.
darkoctavius: Asshatdarkoctavius on September 14th, 2007 05:29 am (UTC)
"I don't see what's so funny about this," Octavius observes, looking at Grey in the same manner as one looks at a genetically-engineered quasi-canine yapping from the confines of a brainbleached twentysomething socialite's overpriced handbag.
Dr. Grey: Self destruct?grey_matter on September 14th, 2007 05:36 am (UTC)
"Really? That's a shame." Grey's expression darkens a bit. And from there degrades to that of complete stoicism. He shrugs.
darkoctaviusdarkoctavius on September 14th, 2007 05:47 am (UTC)
Lovely. Mood swings. Octavius wonders idly if Clair has factored this in. Or if she's caused it. At any rate, his wife's lab rat's obvious bipolar disorder isn't worth his time and he turns to leave. The place has gone a bit too quiet. That is never good with a 100-pound puppy and a mysterypus on the loose.
Dr. Grey: Sink.grey_matter on September 14th, 2007 06:02 am (UTC)
Grey is surprised to see the man simply turn and walk away. He was free after all. Loose test subjects were never a good thing in his experience.

He just watches the man leave with the same near, robotic emotionlessness gracing his features. Ah, well. He'll have to continue his search for a PINpoint. And other interesting tidbits of *SCIENCE!*
